Prayer is REAL. We can talk to our God instantly and discuss whatever is on our minds and in our hearts. He hears us and wants to respond.
When we pray to Him about the details of our desire to evangelize, we bring to Him our availability, our desire to glorify Him and His purpose, His passion for the lost, and our desire to bring them into His kingdom. We are requesting that He open doors of opportunity for us to be His ambassadors. Prayer is ultimately our private communion with our loving Savior. It is our opportunity to walk with fellow believers alongside our common Savior. It's also our means to ask God to bring the lost to His Throne of Grace.
It's also another way to interact with the people ... to communicate our faith by praying with and for them.
When we pray, the interests and intentions of the prayer can happen in unique ways as God unfolds His majestic and awesome ways. When we pray, things shift. When we pray, things change. Wherever you're going, you carry the presence of the Lord.
Praying is the most powerful thing we can do in evangelism.
